For a special Valentine

1. When planning a special Valentine meal, don't go over the top. One good entree and dessert keep you focused rather than worrying about many dishes.

2. If you're not a great baker, keep dessert simple. Opt instead for fabulous ice cream or a chocolate fondue with strawberries.

3. If you're serving wine, don't guess about the right selection if you don't know. Check with an expert (such as your favorite chef) about the correct pairing for the dish you select.

4. If you live alone, treat yourself by cooking your favorite meal. Put out your best place setting, your finest glass, and take time to enjoy it.
