About Our Garden Expert

Angie McManus Angie McManus studied marine science with a concentration in geology at Coastal Carolina University. She grew up in Michigan, Minnesota, and Cleveland. She then moved to Louisville in 1991. After going to school on the coast in South Carolina, Angie moved to the mountains of North Carolina and soon after moved back “home” to Louisville. She currently is still digging in the dirt at The Plant Kingdom where she is the assistant store manager, working with some of the most knowledgeable horticulturists in the field. Angie is constantly finding new plants that become her “favorites,” although she has been a long-time enthusiast of an established fern garden and any garden with well-balanced color. When she is not gardening, she enjoys painting and taking long strolls with her dog.
