Meeting the needs of todays world

More new programs
There was simply no way to list them all, but here are a few more of the intriguing new programs at Kentuckys colleges and universities:

BELLARMINE UNIVERSITY M.S. in Taxation: This program serves accountants, attorneys, and financial planners, as well as recent accounting graduates and non-accountants wishing to enter the field of taxation. It offers both the theoretical background and technical expertise needed to succeed as a tax professional at a time of sweeping reforms in our nations federal and state tax laws.

EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY Animal Studies (the only Baccalaureate degree of its kind in the world).

KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY Biology/pre-professional degree program, preparing undergraduate students for professional schools of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, and other professional schools of health sciences. The project includes a fast track option that will allow high school students to obtain college credit through distance education, enabling them to complete their bachelors degree in three years post-high school.

KENTUCKY WESLEYAN COLLEGE Music Performance: The emphasis is on vocal, conducting, sacred music, and instrumentals.

KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY Environmental Studies; Digital Gaming and Entertainment

LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE Psychophysiology: The program was created for pre-med students who didnt want to major in biology. Whats surprising is that several students who thought they were pre-med, pre-pharmacy, or pre-dentistry decided to go into research or teaching instead. Psychophysiology is very much a liberal-arts science programvery interdisciplinary and integrated, which unexpectedly opens lots of new worlds and possibilities to students.

MSU Veterinary Sciences/Veterinary Clinical Sciences; Minor in Traditional Music Studies

SPALDING UNIVERSITY Applied Behavior Analysis

SULLIVAN UNIVERSITY Computer-Aided Drafting

TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY Philosophy, politics, and economics: An interdisciplinary major for students interested in a career in public policy, social work, or law, which also draws heavily on courses from other social sciences and the fine arts. Neuroscience: an interdisciplinary major drawing from courses in psychology, biology, and computer science

UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY Biostatistics; Music Therapy; Online Master of Arts in Arts Administration; Dentistry (4-year professional program and six postgraduate programs); Biopharmaceutical Engineering and Nanotechnology; Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy

UNIVERSITY OF PIKEVILLE M.S. in Sport Management

WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY B.S. in Meteorology, B.S. in Entrepreneurship
