Experience the delectable dishes of Ireland just in time for St. Patrick’s Day with the Celtic Nation gourmet tasting menu March 16-17 at Holly Hill Inn, 426 North Winter Street in Midway.

Chef Tyler McNabb’s four-course menu features entrées of Roasted Leg of Lamb, Seared Atlantic Sea Bass and Forager’s Pie, a rich vegetable stew baked in an individual-size cast-iron skillet. An Irish Whiskey-Bourbon Whiskey taste-off will be available, as well as special beers and wine pairings. Tickets for the Celtic Nation dinner are $55, including tax and gratuity

Corned Beef and Lamb Terrine
Tender beef and lamb tongue molded, chilled and sliced with dressed English peas, and mint jelly $14

Oysters on the Half Shell
With cucumber mignonette $3.50 each

Steamed Mussels
With diced potato, celery and apple, hard cider, Dijon, Pernod and a splash of cream $12 per dozen

Filled with thin sliced Broadbent country ham and wilted spinach, topped with a poached local egg, and sauced with Dijon cream

Filled with capriole goat cheese and sage, topped with apple, red onion and walnut chutney

Second
Seafood Chowder
Flaked white fish, wild caught shrimp, and little clams in a rich broth with potato, leek, bacon and fresh herbs

Emerald Isle Kale Salad
Massaged kale greens tossed in Kenny’s Kentucky Blue dressing with soda bread croutons and apricot chutney

Main
Forager’s Pie
Rich stew of wild and foraged mushrooms, with root vegetables, local chestnuts and pearl onions, piped Yukon gold potato puree, baked until brown and bubbly in a baby cast iron skillet

Rosy Roasted Leg of Lamb
Glazed in rosé red currant reduction, with roasted winter vegetables and traditional mint sauce

Seared Atlantic Sea Bass
Watercress pureed with vermouth, baby carrots and tourneed Yukon gold potatoes, sauced with porcini and leeks in cream
