Christmas in the Civil War
From November 28, 2020 through January 2, 2021, the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site will have a special exhibit on Christmas During the Civil War. Learn about the origins of the Christmas tree, the Christmas card, Christmas Carols, the Yule Log, Greenery, eggnog and many other Christmas traditions that were already ingrained in American holiday customs before the Civil War.
