LAW is an award-winning, immersive event that uses archaeological and other evidence to inform demonstrations of the region’s Native and Settler technologies and lifeways, including flint knapping, pottery making, spinning, weaving, hide tanning, rope making, dancing, music, and more. Visitors learn about the area’s rich cultural traditions and gain insights into past people’s lives and experiences. Many demonstrations feature hands-on activities, and the event is family friendly and accessible. Friday is reserved for pre-registered school groups and Saturday is open to the public.
