THE BOBBY DRIVER SCHOLARSIP PRESENTS THE 14TH “SINGING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS”

The 14th Singing for Scholarships honoring the memory of Bobby Driver will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Plaza Theatre. This year’s theme is “Shadows of the Past” and features musical entertainment from local band, High Fidelity. Their band consists of Stephen Austin: Lead Vocals/Guitar, Andy Wells: Guitar/Vocals, Rob Wray: Bass/Vocals, Quentin Farris: Drums, and Adrian Heil: Keyboards. The High Fidelity Band started around four years ago and performs in the Bowling Green/Glasgow area. They are referred to as the Rock and Rollers. With a catalog spanning from Motown, 60’s, and 70’s Rock N’ Roll, to new music that fits in that same category.
Local performers Jeff Bruce, Sam Day Dickinson, Byron Lucas, and Brian Pack will pay tribute to the most influential band of all times, The Beatles.
A local teacher from Red Cross Elementary School, Amy Gill, will take the Plaza Stage. Two local pipers, Josh Garrett and Kevin Poynter, will bring the house down performing a song by AC/DC.
Also appearing on stage will be rising new stars Raegan Blair, Lauren Gatewood, Kayla Kaumanns, Lucy Richardson, and Hailey Wyatt who will perform music of The Go-Go’s, the most successful female rock band of all time.
C0-Hosts for the evening will be Kellie McKay and Haylin Adams.
The night will feature instrumental and vocal songs, flavored with nostalgic tunes from yesteryear.
