DESCRIPTION:Court Day Event. Originating in 1794. It began when the Kentucky General Assembly mandated that each county hold court once a month. This day quickly evolved into an annual trading event where people gathered to buy\, sell\, and trade goods\, marking the end of the trading season for many families in eastern Kentucky. \nPreston Court Days brings together all types of people with all types of stuff to sell/swap/trade and barter. A week long festival in October\, this year from October 12th – 18th.
