SUMMARY:Free Book Friday
DESCRIPTION:📣FREE BOOKS!📚 \nDid we get your attention? Free Book Friday is BACK at International Book Project on August 28th. \n🛍️You may select up to one bag full of books per shopper. Please bring your own bag\, and we request that it be standard-sized (approximately 18×20 inches). If your toddler can fit in the bag\, it’s too big! We want to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to get books. \n⏱️Free Book Friday will take place from 10am-6pm\, and there will be no limit on the number of books you can take after 5pm! \n📚We have a wide variety of children’s books and classroom sets of books that will be available at this event. Let your teacher friends know this is a great time to stock their classroom libraries! \n❓Why are we giving these books away\, anyway? We’ve gotten this question a lot and wanted to clear things up! We are a nonprofit focused on promoting literacy worldwide by providing donations of books to organizations around the globe. However\, our warehouse is small\, and the types of books our partners need are always fluctuating. Sometimes we need lots of kids’ books\, sometimes we need more medical textbooks\, and so on! Since we don’t always have room to store every book we may possibly need\, we use Free Book Friday to give back to our community while also rotating the stock in our warehouse! This allows us to be as responsive as possible to our partners’ donation requests\, and also lets us thank our incredibly generous community for their ongoing support of our mission. \nNo purchase is necessary\, but monetary donations are greatly appreciated. Only the books on the tables and blue carts marked “FREE” will be part of the giveaway. The books on the shelves will be for sale and all proceeds directly support IBP’s operations. \nWe hope to see you soon!

SUMMARY:Madisonville 9/11 Heroes Run
DESCRIPTION:Mark Your Calendars!\nJoin us for Madisonville’s 14th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run on Saturday\, September 12th in Downtown Madisonville.\nTwenty-five years. And yet\, if you close your eyes\, you can still remember exactly where you were. September 11th didn’t just change our country – it revealed who we are. It showed us what courage looks like when everything is on the line\, and it reminded us that some people run toward danger while the rest of us are still trying to make sense of it.\nThis run is for them. For the nearly 3\,000 lives lost that morning. For the first responders who didn’t hesitate. For the men and women who raised their hand to serve in the years that followed – including Madisonville’s hero\, SGT William Patrick Rudd\, who gave everything on his 8th tour of duty in 2008. And for the heroes who put on a uniform in this community every single day.\nWhether you run\, ruck\, or walk\, come be part of something that matters. Since 2013\, Madisonville has raised nearly $90\,000 for local first responders through the Patrick Rudd Project and another $90\,000 for the Travis Manion Foundation. That didn’t happen because of one person — it happened because this community keeps showing up.\nWe hope you’ll show up again this year.\nDate: Saturday\, September 12th | Location: Downtown Madisonville | Time: 8 PM |\nRegistration: 911heroesrun.org/madisonville\n“If Not Me\, Then Who…” — 1st Lt.
