DESCRIPTION:Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter\, which helps feed local school-age children on weekends\, will host its Eleventh Annual Pack the Sack event to benefit Louisville students on Saturday\, March 7\, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Olmsted. \nThe night will include world-class food from award-winning Louisville chefs: James Moran\, executive chef of Bob’s Steak & Chop House; Dallas McGarity\, chef and owner of The Fat Lamb; and Jackie Joseph of JJ Bakes & Co. \nThe organization aims to raise $165\,000 through ticket sales\, sponsorships and auction purchases\, where proceeds will help provide weekend bags of food to JCPS students in Louisville – kids who might otherwise go up to 65 hours without enough to eat between school lunch on Friday and breakfast on Monday morning. \nThroughout the evening\, attendees will be able to mix and mingle with the chefs\, bid on live and silent auctions\, and participate in additional fundraising games\, including a bourbon pull. Pack the Sack will include an open bar offering craft cocktails\, compliments of Heaven Hill\, and craft beer provided by Atrium Brewing. \nTickets are now on sale\, with early-bird pricing available through Sunday\, January 4. Early-bird pricing is $175 (saving $50) for individual tickets and $1\,750 (saving $250) for a table of 10\, with each $175 ticket feeding one child every weekend for an entire school year.

His music focuses on melodic and rhythmical improvisation\, with influences ranging from jazz\, Scandinavian folk music\, and Gregorian chants. \nHe is a sought-after soloist\, performing and giving master classes and clinics throughout the United States\, Latin America\, Europe\, and Asia. This will be the third time he has joined the chorale as a guest artist. \n“The Lexington Chamber Chorale has worked with many musicians in our 35 years\, but working with Anders Åstrand for the third time is very special\,” said Artistic Director Gary Anderson. “He is a fantastic musician\, an improviser on mallets. He raises the performance level of the Chorale every time we collaborate.” \nFor this concert\, Anderson\, in his last year as artistic director\, has chosen favorite selections from the past and music to be performed for the first time. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Family Day celebrating happiness and what happiness means to us personally\, inspired by the Frazier’s America50 exhibition Pursuit of Happiness! Experience the Pursuit of Happiness exhibition firsthand\, as you and your families explore and discover the stories of thirteen historical figures who lived during 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed. With admission to the event\, you and your family can engage in a series of hands-on crafts and activities provided by the Frazier’s Education team. You can participate in museum-wide scavenger hunts\, take guided tours\, and meet various vendors. You can witness the many wonders of Kentucky and the happiness it brings to both residents and travelers during a screening of KentuckyShow! in our Brown-Forman Theatre. Plus\, you can explore all three floors of museum exhibitions\, including Aflora and Davis Jewelers’ Love & Marriage! DESCRIPTION:St. Athanasius Catholic Church cordially invites you to our 2nd Annual Easter Market & Egg Hunt!\nOver 50 talented artisans\, artists & crafters & food trucks from around the region!\nFREE ADMISSION! \nFor Children 1-5\,\nEgg hunt will start at 1:00 PM\nChildren 6-10 will begin at 2:00 PM. Each child should bring one non-perishable item for each Easter Egg Hunt participant. These will be donated to St. Athanasius’ food pantry.
