We know you’ll love what we love about Cadiz—the charm of Main Street, the slower pace of life, the safe, kid-friendly great outdoors—but we hope that during your visit you find something that speaks to you and keeps you coming back season after season.

Our backyard is an angler’s paradise. Cadiz sits on the shores of Lake Barkley, and all year long you’ll overhear the story of the one that got away or see a photo of the one that didn’t.

EAT

Trigg County boasts some of the best homestyle country cooking anywhere. We might be well-known for our country ham breakfasts, BBQ and fried catfish dinners, but if Southern cooking isn’t what you’re looking for, that’s fine too. Select from our other options–Mexican, good ole country food, pizzas, fine black Angus steaks, and a Specialty Coffee House & Cafe. If you’re passing through, sure, you’ll find some of the familiar chains just off I-24, but travel down 68 just a couple more miles, and come on into one of our many local eateries.

SHOP

People from all over the USA brag on Cadiz, claiming they have to come to Cadiz to find “real antiques” as well as how they’ve never stepped foot in a place where so many people took a genuine interest in how they were doing (and even helped them solve a small obstacle… like directions to the lake). Many specialty shops adorn the Main Street area, so selections on unique and one-of-a-kind items are everywhere.

STAY

A quiet retreat or a family reunion–Trigg County offers the perfect setting. From hotels, motels, cottages, or even a lakefront vacation home. You will sleep well and wake relaxed. Trigg County is a “naturally fun” place to be.
