Old Friends: “Homecoming” fundraiser the day after the Derby

Old Friends is known as thoroughbred racing’s living museum, providing a venue where fans can come and see the world’s largest assembly of famous retired racehorses—along with those who raced outside the limelight but still have interesting stories.

The day after the Derby (May 5 this year) is Old Friends’ annual “Homecoming” fundraising party from noon–4 p.m. The ticketed event includes catered buffet, a live and silent auction of racing memorabilia and experiences, live music and the opportunity to visit resident horses such as 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm, and the miniature Little Silver Charm.

Guided tours are available year-round but require advance purchase. Check the website for details.
