Ham and Swiss Biscuits (video)

  • 1 lb deli ham, shaved
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped onions or 1 tsp minced onions
  • 2 Tbsp poppy seeds, plus more for topping
  • 3–4 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3–4 Tbsp horseradish mustard
  • 2 pkg canned flaky biscuits (8 count)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese


Preheat oven to 375°. 

Pulse shaved deli ham in a food processor until finely minced. Add minced ham to large bowl along with onion, poppy seeds, butter and mustard. Mix until combined. Roll out 8 biscuits to a 3- to 4-inch circle and place on a lined baking sheet (4 per sheet). Evenly distribute ham mixture on top of each biscuit and top each with a slice of Swiss cheese. Roll out remaining 8 biscuits to matching circles and place them on top of each sandwich. Sprinkle more poppy seeds on top. Place in the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 8.
