Send us “ALL THINGS CHOCOLATE” recipes so that we receive them by October 21 for the February 2012 issue. Submit online at Submit Reader Recipe or go to www.KentuckyLiving.com/cooking, then click on “Submit Reader Recipe.” Or mail it to us (see “How to Submit” at bottom). If we publish your recipe, we’ll send you a Kentucky Living mug.
Do You Have an Amazing Tree House or Playhouse in Your Back Yard?
Perhaps an elaborate mini-castle fit for a princess? Or a tree-high pirate ship laden with treasure? For our May issue, we will spotlight the most unique tree houses and playhouses across the state. If your kids’ outdoor playspace is chosen, we’ll pay you $50. To be considered, please e-mail high-resolution photos of your creation, preferably with kids playing in it. In fewer than 250 words, tell us how you built it and the joy that it has brought your family. Include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, photo IDs, and name of your electric co-op, if applicable. Originality is key! We are looking for houses not constructed from a kit or store-bought. Send photos with your kids playing in your creation. Send it to e-mail@kentuckyliving.com by November 30.
Send us “FUTURE FARMERS” photos for January 2012’s issue so we receive them by November 15. Tell us where the photo was taken; identify who’s in the photo and where they’re from; the name, address, and phone number of the photographer; your name and contact info; and the name of your electric co-op. Remember that close-ups of people work best.
- SUBMIT digital images online at Submit a Snap Shot or mail prints to Kentucky Living Snap Shot, P.O. Box 32170, Louisville, KY 40232. No color laser prints, as they do not reproduce well. Photos will NOT be returned unless you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
- GET A HEAD START by sending in “Friendship” photos for February. Those photos are due December 16.
