Co-ops connet

America’s electric cooperatives, including Fleming-Mason Energy, serve 42 million people in 2026, which doesn’t seem like a lot until you con-sider that we also serve more than half of the continental United States land mass (56%!).

How do we do it? Membership and its privileges, for one. Our members are our owners, and we are democrat-ically controlled by our membership. That’s you.

We’re also not-for-profit. We never have to worry about decision making that’s focused on profits instead of performance. As part of Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, we focus on bringing prosperity to our communities where we also live and work.

Co-ops serve more than 22 mil-lion homes, schools, businesses and farms in the contiguous United States. There are nearly 900 cooperatives, with the vast majority serving members like you, while our wholesale power provider, EKPC, is one of 64 generation and transmission cooperatives, making power for all of us.
