The 152nd Kentucky Derby, held May 2, 2026, at Churchill Downs, delivered a memorable upset as Golden Tempo rallied from near the back of the field to win at 23-1 odds. The victory made Cherie DeVaux the first woman trainer to win the Kentucky Derby, while jockey José Ortiz earned his first Derby victory in the Run for the Roses.
