Celebrating National Quilting Day

District 6 of the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society invites all quilters, amateurs and veterans, to join in a celebration of National Quilting Day on Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. for a Quilters Day Out.

There will be a showcase of district quilt guilds, lecture by local art quilter and fiber artist Valerie White, quilt exhibits, sit ’n’ sew quilting, vendors, a quilt challenge contest, door prizes, free coffee and cookies, and a café available for food.

District 6 represents members from seven counties—Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble.

The event will be held at the Ballardsville Baptist Church Life Center, junction of Highway 22 and Highway 53, Oldham County. For more information on the event, contact Linda Slye, (502) 266-7629 or e-mail her at kmslye@aol.com.
