Brian Bohannon is a freelance photographer based in Louisville, who shoots corporate, commercial and editorial assignments with documentary flair.
Brian began freelancing for the Louisville Courier-Journal after graduating in 1994 from Western Kentucky University’s photojournalism program. His first assignment was to cover a story on the National Forest Service’s bolting ban in the Red River Gorge. As a former rock climber and Eagle Scout familiar with the area, Brian was the perfect freelancer for the job, and his photo made the cover. After his encouraging start, Brian began stringing for the Associated Press, USA Today, local news magazines and alternative media.
Today, in addition to the C-J news, food and feature assignments, Brian shoots public relations and corporate events, along with the occasional wedding.
Brian and his wife live with two beagles near Cherokee Park in the Highlands.
