Lexington-based freelance writer Robin Roenker has been contributing stories to Kentucky Living for more than 10 years. Robin grew up in Elizabethtown and received degrees in English from the University of Kentucky and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She writes for several regional and online publications, and her areas of reporting include business and technology, the arts, human interest stories, and higher education. She loves sharing interesting stories about Kentucky.

Robin and her husband, Jon, and their three sons enjoy camping, hiking, and being outdoors. While not inherently crafty, she has learned to crochet thanks to YouTube and hopes to one day tackle knitting. On most evenings–for at least seven months of the year–you can find her at a Lexington-area little league baseball field.
