Chicken And Dumplings

  • 3 boneless chicken breasts
  • 5 cans chicken broth
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Cook chicken, cool, and pull into small pieces.

In bowl add 2 cups flour and 1 cup broth, stir until flour is moistened. On floured surface turn out dough mixture. Sprinkle dough with flour and knead. Shape dough into a ball, sprinkle with flour, and roll out. Cut into strips.
Place chicken and broth into a heavy kettle and bring to a rolling boil. Drop dumplings in kettle. Do not stir, press down with spoon to make more room. Cook on medium until done. If you like thick broth, simmer for an extra 15 minutes.
