Easy Swiss Steak

  • 1-1/2 lbs. boneless round steak
  • 1 large green pepper, seeded, chopped in 1-inch chunks
  • 1 large onion, peeled, cut in 1-inch chunks
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10-1/4 oz.) can beef gravy
  • 1 (8 oz.) can peas, undrain


Cut meat in serving size pieces. Brown well on all sides in vegetable oil in Dutch oven. Remove meat, and discard drippings. Return meat to pan. Add all other ingredients. Bring slowly to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 2 1/2-3 hours, or until meat
