  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 C peaches (about 6 large peaches)
  • 1 C sugar
  • Juice of ½ lemon and the zest
  • 1 C flour
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C cream
  • 1 C milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preheat the oven to 375°. Place 1 stick butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Place in preheated oven for 10 minutes to melt butter.

Slice peaches and add to large bowl. Add sugar, lemon juice and zest; mix to combine.

In another large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, cream, milk, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Whisk until fully combined. This will be a runny batter consistency.

Pour batter into the pan with the melted butter, then add the peaches on top. There is no need to mix or stir. Everything will bake evenly in the oven.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden brown on top and set in the middle. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Serves 10–12.
