Sausage, hamburger, and cabbage one-pot dinner

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 large head cabbage, chopped
  • peeled and quartered potatoes (optional)
  • 1 cup water, or more as needed
  • Salt and pepper


In deep pot, put layer of hamburger broken up, then layer of cabbage, generously salt and pepper, layer of pork sausage broken up, layer of cabbage, salt and pepper, layer of potatoes, if using. Repeat until all ingredients are used. Add water, cover pot and cook on medium heat until cooked through.
