Wilted Lettuce


  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce
  • 4 small green onions, chopped


Chop bacon and brown until crisp.

Add vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper to hot bacon grease.

Pour immediately over lettuce and onions. Toss and serve.

Serves 4 to 6.
