www.NKBA.org Home of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, this site includes a good glossary of terms, photos of the best designs from their competitions, product news, and a good workbook to use when remodeling a kitchen or bath.
www.HGTV.com The trend today is to mix materials when choosing countertops, according to HGTV’s site. Lots of information about all types of materials, as well as specific sections on kitchens and remodeling.
www.fantes.com While the site is designed to sell stainless steel utensils for the kitchen, it also has a wealth of information about stainless steel, including how to clean various items made of stainless and the health benefits of stainless. It’s also a stainless steel gadget lover’s paradise, with everything from tools to prepare Aebleskiver (a traditional winter treat in Denmark) to zesters (a garnishing tool).
www.cooltiles.com Want something different in stainless steel? Cool Tiles features a product to make stainless kitchen or bath backsplashes, decorative borders, or feature walls.
www.liquidstainlesssteel.com If you want the look of stainless steel but don’t need to replace your appliances, this might be a solution—liquid stainless steel that brushes on like paint, from Thomas’ Kitchen Art Inc.
