Hickory’s HVAC Distributing expands

A GREAT IDEA can come from anywhere. Look no further than Hickory, population 256, where Jason Ingram, managing member of HVAC Distributing, is expanding on the small-town investment he made 10 years ago.

“Our family has always been a part of Graves County, so it made sense to establish our business here. That decision has rewarded us daily, because it’s given us the remarkable opportunity to grow our company and expand our reach,” Ingram says. “We’re extremely grateful to be recognized as a company that provides stability and employment for our community.”

As its name suggests, HVAC Distributing distributes heating, ventilation and air conditioning products. Three years ago, the family-owned company saw a sudden increase in demand and revenue amid an industry-wide sharp uptick in sales. By having a wide assortment of product in stock, the company was ready to ship to customers nationwide.

“We are so proud to count HVAC Distributing as a member of West Kentucky RECC,” says David Smart, the electric cooperative’s president and CEO. “When you visit their facility, you immediately sense teamwork, faith and family. We appreciate their hard work and how they take care of their customers.”

In September, the company announced an expansion projected to create at least 40 jobs during construction.

“I want to thank [HVAC Distributing’s] leadership for their continued investment in Graves County and look forward to their success in Hickory in the years to come,” says Gov. Andy Beshear.

The expansion at the Hickory Industrial Park allows for more employees and inventory space, which means better chances of having the exact product a customer wants on hand.

The expansion is underway and slated to be complete in 2024. HVAC Distributing has its eyes set toward the future, where Ingram says the company aims to maintain and fortify a deserved place in its community.
