Asia Institute – Crane House (AICH) is hosting its Lunar New Year Dinner & Auction – Year of the Fire Horse on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at The Speed Art Museum. The Dinner & Auction will feature the tastes, sights, and sounds of the Lunar New Year and will include a silent and live auction. The Lunar New Year is one of the most significant and festive holidays in many Asian cultures.
Tickets for the Lunar New Year Dinner and Auction are $298 and can be purchased by visiting www.bidpal.net/horse2026 The number 8 is considered to be a lucky number in many Asian countries as the number rhymes with the word “wealth” in Chinese.
This year’s dinner will be curated by several local chefs including Jason McCollum, Nokee Bucayu, Robbi Santos and Ming Pu, led by James Moran, with favorite dishes created to recognize his legacy in Louisville.
Guests will enjoy a five-course meal of elevated modern Asian cuisine and signature drinks, wine and Asian-inspired canapés. The evening also includes tea tasting as well as a signature horse-themed cocktail. Asian inspired fashion will also be on display (and is encouraged!).
Another highlight of the night is the local Asian entertainment which includes River Lotus Lion Dance, Vietnamese Student Association’s Fan Dance, and Korean K-Pop Dance crew LDAZ.
