- 1⁄4 C (SouthDown Farm) maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 3 C pecans
Preheat the oven to 325°. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine syrup, butter, vanilla and salt. Add pecans and stir them to coat. Spoon ingredients across parchment in a single layer. Bake 10 minutes, stir and bake 10 minutes more. Nuts should be golden brown. If they need to bake longer, stir and bake 5 to 8 minutes more. Cool. Store in a covered container or sealed bag at room temperature. Eat as a snack, or sprinkle on salads or grilled fish. Makes 3 cups.
