This chart compares the three different kinds of lights you can buy when you need to replace an old-fashioned incandescent bulb—which happens a lot, since those old bulbs typically burn out fast. But with today's light sources, the expected life is much longer, up to 15 or 25 years for LEDs. And today's light choices use much less energy, so you'll be saving on your electric bill all year long.
