Halloween In The State Parks

October is about candy, pumpkins, and goblins, and it’s also when many parks and communities provide special activities to celebrate Halloween for the whole family.

Kentucky state parks are offering Halloween Campouts the weekend of October 27-29 and a host of other Halloween events throughout October at many of the state parks.

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park offers two fun-filled weekends, Camper Halloween, with free food for campers on Friday night and activities for kids all day Saturday, October 20-21 for campers only and October 27-28 for the general public. There are treasure hunts, hayrides, costume contests, pet costume contests, trick-or-treating, cake walks, fortune telling, decorated pumpkin contest, campsite decorating contests, haunted trail walks, and scavenger hunts. For more information on activities at Greenbo, call (800) 325-0083.

Greenbo is just one of the state parks offering up free fun.
