FRANKFORT (Feb. 17, 2017)—Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Harry J. Rothgerber, James T. Henderson, and LeAnna Marie Homandberg have been appointed to the Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention Board.

• Harry J. Rothgerber, of Louisville, is a retired attorney. Rothgerber shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 20, 2019.
• James T. Henderson, of Prospect, is a nonprofit executive. Henderson shall serve for a term expiring September 20, 2019.
• LeAnna Marie Homandberg, of Southgate, is an attorney. Homandberg shall serve for a term expiring September 20, 2019.

The Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Board was created as a mechanism for combating the horrific occurrence of child sexual abuse and is charged with reducing child sexual abuse and its consequences by encouraging the provision of education, awareness, and prevention programs throughout the commonwealth. The Board oversees the Child Victims Trust Fund (CVTF), a nonprofit program that provides local communities with funding for child sexual abuse prevention programs and reimbursement for the portion of child sexual abuse medical exam expenses not covered by Medicaid or private insurance.

James A. Luckett has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Ophthalmic Dispensers.

• James A. Luckett, of Louisville, is an optometrist. Luckett shall serve for a term expiring January 10, 2021.

The Kentucky Board of Ophthalmic Dispensers is made up of five gubernatorial appointees. The Board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of ophthalmic dispensing. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality, conducts formal hearings when necessary, and prosecutes by due process any violators of KRS Chapter 326.

Ron Steven Poole and Craig Martin have been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

• Ron Steven Poole, of Central City, is a pharmacist. Poole shall serve for a term expiring January 1, 2021.
• Craig Martin, of Georgetown, is a pharmacist. Martin shall serve for a term expiring January 1, 2021.

The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy consists of six gubernatorial appointees. The Board serves the commonwealth to promote, protect, and preserve public health, safety, and welfare through effective regulation of the practice of pharmacy. The Board is charged with evaluating and approving the qualifications of applicants for licensure as certified pharmacists within the commonwealth.

Charles Robert Oliver and Neal J. Moser have been appointed to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee.

• Charles Robert Oliver, of Glasgow, is a pharmacist. Oliver shall serve for a term expiring November 15, 2019. He will represent pharmacists.
• Neal J. Moser, of Taylor Mill, is a physician. Moser shall serve for a term expiring November 15, 2019. He will represent internal medicine physicians.

The Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee consists of 12 gubernatorial appointees and advises the governor, the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and the commissioner of the Department for Medicaid Services on development and administration of an outpatient drug formulary.

Ali Haider has been appointed to the Governor’s Minority Employment, Business Affairs and Economic Development Council. Waymen Eddings has been designated as Chair of the Council.

• Ali Haider, of Prospect, is a physician and surgeon. Haider shall serve for a term expiring April 1, 2018.
• Waymen Eddings, of Louisville, is business owner. Eddings shall serve as Chair of the Council.

The Governor’s Minority Employment, Business Affairs and Economic Council in collaboration with major corporations, business owners, government entities, community and higher education institutions, seeks to develop outcome driven initiatives that can measurably grow minority business enterprises and minority employment opportunities within the commonwealth of Kentucky. The Council is composed of the governor, or designee, the Lt. Gov. or designee, and 15 members appointed by the governor.
