- 32-oz bag broccoli florets
- 1⁄2 C red onion, diced
- 1⁄2 C bacon, cooked and crumbled, plus 1 Tbsp for garnish
- 1 C shredded cheddar cheese, plus 1 Tbsp for garnish
- 2 C mayonnaise
- 1⁄2 C sugar
Wash, then dry broccoli florets and cut large pieces into bite-size pieces. Trim any brown stems. Place broccoli into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise and sugar until combined. Mixture should have a glossy look. Add red onion, 1⁄2 cup bacon, and 1 cup shredded cheese to the broccoli and mix until combined. Add mayonnaise mixture to the broccoli and mix until combined.
Refrigerate mixture for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle with remaining bacon and cheese on top before serving.
