- 4 Tablespoons pan drippings and crust
- 4 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 cups warm water
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Heat pan drippings and crusty brown bits left over from frying chicken. Gradually add flour, stirring well, until mixture just begins to turn brown. Slowly add water and milk and stir until mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.
