Smith House Pecan Pie

  • Serves 8.


  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C dark Karo syrup
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/2 C chopped pecans


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine ingredients in bowl, mix well, and pour into pie shell. Bake for one hour or until pie doesn’t jiggle. Serve warm or at room temperature.
