Finding simple ways to improve your health

Let’s face it – maintaining a healthy lifestyle is challenging. Knowing what types of food to buy, how to prepare it, how to add more exercise into your daily routine, and on and on.

Thankfully, is here to help. We’re proud to welcome Barbara Day, M.S., R.D.  as one of our contributors.

Day is a registered dietitian with a Master’s Degree in clinical nutrition. The former publisher of Kentuckiana HealthFitness Magazine, Kentuckiana Healthy Woman magazine and radio show host of Health News You Can Use, Day has over 44 years of experience in promoting healthy lifestyles to consumers.

Day worked as Nutrition Consultant to the Navy SEALs (8 years) and the University of Louisville Athletic Department (10 years). She currently writes a weekly nutrition column for the Southeast Outlook. She is a runner, cyclist, hiker, a mother and grandmother to 13 grandchildren.

Day will be providing us with many recipes that are not only healthy, they’re easy to make and budget-concious. Plus, she’ll be sharing tips to help you make easy changes to your lifestyle.
