The 6th Annual Mountain Grrl Experience is a FREE, family friendly arts and music festival that highlights the creativity and talent of women in Appalachia. Held in October at the beautiful Coal Run City Park, the event brings together artists, musicians, makers, and community members for a weekend of creativity, connection, and celebration.
Through live music, art exhibitions, workshops, and educational experiences, the festival creates space for Appalachian women to share their voices, talents, and stories in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The schedule will include:
Thursday, October 15 (12:00-2:00pm): The Front Porch Panel-The Power of the Appalachian Woman, University of Pikeville Booth Auditorium
Friday, October 16 (4:00pm-10:00pm) and Saturday, October 17 (10:00am-10:00pm)
Live music
Social Influencer Meet & Greets
Mountain Grrls Onstage Open Mic
Workshops (flatfoot dancing, dulcimer playing, screen printing, art-making, writing, etc.)
Artisan Vendors, Vintage Market & Food Trucks
Community Hub Information Booths
Funds raised during the event will support the Pike County Domestic Violence Coalition.
