New ways into the world of Kentucky food have opened up this year with initiatives to promote culinary tourism in the state. The Kentucky Department of Travel and Tourism launched the food-focused Web site KentuckyCuisine.com, where you can find info on another new effort, Bon Appétit Appalachia. That is a map guide of 47 food destinations in eastern Kentucky, and was developed by the Appalachian Regional Commission. Kentucky
Cuisine.com lists farmers’ markets, culinary trails, locally produced food choices, festivals, and recipes.
