Oven Roasted Candied Pecans (video)

  • 4 C pecans (16 oz bag)
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ C sugar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt


Preheat oven to 300º. Beat egg white until foamy. Fold egg white into pecans to get them wet. In separate bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir this mixture into pecans. Pour pecans onto 9×13-inch parchment-lined pan and bake for 30 minutes, turning nuts every 10 minutes. After baking, let pecans cool. They will get crunchy after cooling. Store nuts in tins. Makes a dozen cup servings.
