- 1 lb brussel sprouts
- 1/3 cup bacon drippings
- 1/2 lemon
- Heavy whipping cream
Cut fresh sprouts in half. Place the cut side toward dark cast-iron skillet. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
I think bacon drippings are liquid gold…so I save them. Drizzle with bacon drippings, then add liberal amount of salt and pepper.
Roast in the oven for 25 minutes, then turn for even browning. Remove from oven, squeeze half a lemon over the top while hot. Then add a long pour of heavy whipping cream. Stir.
