Vidalia Onion Casserole


  • 3 cups crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1-1/2 cups margarine- Press into very large baking pan.
  • 6 cups sliced Vidalia onions
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • Add 6 beaten eggs
  • 2-1/2 cups milk, heated
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons salt and a dash of Tabasco sauce
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1-1/2 cups Parmesan cheese
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire
  • 3 cups grated Swiss cheese


Margaret Trusty 

Pour all ingredients except cheese over onions in crust.

Bake 350° 20-30 minutes.

Sprinkle Swiss cheese over mixture the last 10 minutes of baking.

Sprinkle paprika on top.
