Dreamsicle Cake

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 orange cake mix, prepared according to box directions, substituting milk for water
- 2 teaspoons orange extract
- Frosting:
- 1 (16 oz.) carton whipped topping
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1 (16 oz.) carton whipped topping
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans. Prepare cake according to directions substituting milk for water. Add orange extract and mix well. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly. Split layers in half horizontally.
FROSTING
Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Mix well with whisk and spread between layers, then frost sides and top.
PREPARATION TIME: 15 minutes.
