Flying Colors

Enjoy the spring sunshine and experience cultural diversity at the Fifth Annual International Kite and Culture Festival on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17, in Georgetown.

It’s all about fun, flying kites, and experiencing other cultures. Highlights include lots of colorful kite flying (make sure and bring yours), free kite building, live music, international food court, international music and dance exhibitions, non-stop entertainment, and storytelling, along with kite and other vendors.

Don’t miss the opening ceremony Saturday at 11 a.m. The festival runs 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday, and 12 noon–5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Parking is $3 per car. The festival will go on rain or shine.
