How to submit

$50 FOR YOUR STORY
…if we print your story in December’s “Readers’ Holiday Traditions” feature. It’s easy to misplace the spirit of joy and peace by getting caught up in myriad events and must-do’s. Tell us in 150 words or fewer how you or your family solved this annual dilemma through a holiday tradition. Must be received by August 31, 2012. Also submit any high-resolution jpg photos of your holiday traditions. Follow “How to Submit” below for how to enter.

Chef’s Choice
Send US festive cheese dips and spreads by August 21 for our December 2012 issue. Submit online at KentuckyLiving.com/cooking, then click on “Submit Reader Recipe.” Or mail it to us (see “How to Submit” below). It must be an original recipe. If we publish your recipe, we’ll send you $25 cash.

Snap Shot
Send us photos on “Saluting service” for November so that we receive them by September 17. Tell us where the photo was taken; identify who’s in the photo, where they’re from, and your relation to the people in the photo. Be sure to include the name, address, and phone number of the photographer; your name and contact info; and the name of your electric co-op, if applicable. Remember: close-ups of people work best.

• Submit digital images online at www.KentuckyLiving.com/submitsnapshots.html or mail prints to Kentucky Living SnapShot, P.O. Box 32170, Louisville, KY 40232. No color laser prints; they do not reproduce well. Photos will NOT be returned unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included.

• Get a head start and send in photos of “Christmas critters” for December, due October 17.
